meeting the magnetic manger

This morning was near-perfect. As Abby mentioned in the last post, this morning Valor became the old child we’ve ever had, and it was also the first of three “Christmas” mornings for him. I would love to tell you what he thought when he saw the easel we got for him, and when he saw the table and stools that Nana & Grandpa Bill got for him. But since Abby had the camcorder rolling, I’ll let Valor do most of the talking. Abby got a little present of her own at 3:33!

  1. This morning when I checked Cake Wrecks for the Sunday Sweets, I never expected such a sweet. I been glued to the computer ever since reading the stories of James, Dora and Valor. Thank you for sharing your journey. I look forward to seeing the wonder that 2011 will bring to your amazing family. God bless!

  2. I just discovered your Sweet Baby James blog through Cake Wrecks and have spent the better part of my (sick on the couch) afternoon crying and reading your story. I am now THRILLED to come to this blog and see your beautiful boy, Valor. It is obvious that he thrives in the love and adoration of his parents. Your faith in the midst of such devastating heartbreak is inspiring. I am a better person for having read your story.

  3. I, like many others before, got to you through Cake Wrecks. I have spent the last four days, in every spare moment I had, reading your story from the start of sweetbabyjames.info up to this post.

I have been blessed enormously through reading your courageous, and heart-melting story, and have prayed for you all many times this week.

I look forward to seeing what else God does in your supernatural lives.

  4. I am also a serial lurker who arrived at your sites via CakeWrecks, back when you’d just lost your sweet baby James. Since, I’ve been a serial lurker, surfing in from time to time to see what’s going on in your lives. Although we have vastly different belief systems, your faith is SO inspiring, the life trials you’ve been given–you’ve shown such grace and patience. I wish the rest of the world could take a lesson from you. It is comforting to be surrounded by faith and guidance, isn’t it?

Anyway, this is my first-ever post to you, this video of precious Valor brought tears to my eyes. I see so much James in him, my heart swells and breaks to see Valor toddling around so happily, and so loved by so many. He is truly a lucky boy to have such a loving, devoted family! I am sure James and Dora are there with you, too, watching over their baby brother.
